Fijian Drua chief executive officer Mark Evans said: “Moimoi comes with a wealth of experience in the financial field. He placed strongly after an extensive recruitment process in a field of international and local applicants.
“As we welcome him to the dynamic world of professional sport, we also thank our outgoing CFO Shafina Dea, who did such a great job during her time at the Drua.”
Moimoi said he is grateful to God for opening this door of opportunity.
“In all my previous roles, I focused on finances that would make a positive impact on the economy, and it made going to work each day a real thrill.
“After my first week here, I realised that working for the Drua gives me the ability to impact individuals and that is what is really exciting for me. It’s a truly different sense of purpose as I start to look at rugby not only as a sport but as a source of hope, aspiration and pride for our people.
“It is a massive responsibility to take on the role of CFO of the Fijian Drua given the Club’s importance to our country, and I’m genuinely honoured to be entrusted with it. I look forward to working with Mark and the entire team at the Drua to take our young Club to even greater heights.”
