Fiji and Papua New Guinea are going to fight for the second spot in Group A of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Oceania Qualifiers.
The Rob Sherman-coached Fijians only need a draw against New Caledonia on Sunday at the Papua New Guinea Football Stadium in Port Moresby to qualify.

“I was not happy with our set piece, which allowed two soft goals,” Sherman said after their 3-3 draw against PNG on Thursday.
“I was happy at how the boys reacted and immediately came back to score goals.”
PNG coach Felipe Vega-Arango was disappointed with the result.
“We fought and competed strongly but conceding a goal in the final minute was unacceptable,” he said.
The match kicks-off at 3pm.
