“We’re all coming to the stadium to support Losana and the girls as they play the Cook Islands,” Naqatalevu said.
She left the island of Beqa early yesterday morning to be in time for the Fiji Bulikula (national women’s) rugby league team’s morning run at Suva’s Albert Park.
For Litiana Naqatalevu, spending $100 on her travelling expenses was all worth it as she finally met-up with her niece Losana Lutu.
“It’s after 12 years then I was able to see her again,” she told SUN-sports.
“Losana’s dad is my brother. When Losana was growing up I always knew that she would make it big in sports because she was good at it.”
The 20-year-old Lutu, is one of the rising stars of the National Rugby League Women (NRLW) in Australia.
The Wests Tigers sensational is one of the players to watch in the Bulikula outfit when they take on Cook Islands at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Saturday.
“Back in our village in Naceva in Beqa we’re preparing our banners for this Saturday’s game.
