Apia, Samoa – 08 August 2025: The 16 voters alleged to have no connection to the Falealupo constituency have been cleared to cast their votes after the complaints against them were withdrawn.

One of the complainants, Seumanutafa Isaraelu addressed the court on behalf of all the complainants to withdraw the complaint as matters have been sorted out.

The 16 voters said to have no connection to Falealupo were the remaining number from a long list of suspects. After the Office of the Electoral Commission (OEC) reviewed and assessed the complaints, all other names were cleared except the 16 names that were submitted to the court.

The withdrawal of the complaints against the 16 names brings the total number of Falealupo voters to 844.

Falealupo district is fielding 3 candidates; 1 HRPP and 2 FAST candidates for the 29 August elections.
