Former Fijiana rugby sevens forward Vani Buleki is among the 10 players making their debut for the Western Force in ṭomorrow’s Super W clash against the ACT Brumbies at HBF Park in Perth.
Joining Buleki is former NSW Waratahs and Austalian Wallaroos lock Sera Naiqama, Allana Sikimeti, Ashley Marsters and Cecilia Smith.
Naiqama is the sister of former Fiji Bati (rugby league) captains Wes and Kevin Naiqama.
Buleki will start on the wing while her former Fijiana sevens team-mate Ana Naimasi has not been included in the Brumbies Match 23 squad. Also starting for the Brumbies is No.8 Tabua Tuinakauvadra who is of Fijian decent.
Brumbies coach Andy Friend has named six new faces, with Charlie Brigstocke and Merania Paraone in the backline. Returning star Ella Ryan has won the race to start at scrumhalf, partnering Faitala Moleka.
Faitala’s sister, Manua, is one of three set to debut from the bench.
Meanwhile, former Fijiana XVs prop Jiowana Sauto is the Queensland Reds squad to face Penina Pasifika in a development game at Ballymore Stadium.
