Police are responding to a serious firearms incident in the Hamilton suburb of Chartwell tonight.
At 6.40pm, emergency services were called to a property on Bellmont Ave after a firearm was discharged.
“The alleged offender left the scene and police, assisted by the Eagle helicopter, are actively searching for him,”
