Defending Solrais Women’s Premier League (SWPL) champions Henderson Eels have surged to third place on the ladder following a dominant 6-0 victory over Haura FC on Saturday, wrapping up the round one fixtures.
The win sees the Eels leapfrog both Haura FC and RSIPF Royals who also fell 1-0 to second-placed Frigates United, thanks to a superior goal difference.
Despite having five catch-up matches remaining due to their recent OFC Champions League outing last month, Eels are currently on a four-game winning streak and remain unbeaten this season.
Also maintaining an undefeated record are league leaders Naha FC, who extended their remarkable run to seven straight wins with a crushing 15-0 triumph over Ha’arosia on Sunday.
All eyes now turn to this weekend’s highly anticipated clash between Henderson Eels and Naha FC, as the two unbeaten sides face-off in one of the rescheduled fixtures.
