Dramatic scenes have unfolded on a Virgin Australia flight as a man was arrested by police officers.
The flight was preparing to takeoff from Melbourne Airport on Tuesday when Australian Federal Police officers boarded and arrested the man.
Footage of the incident, obtained by 7News, shows the officers talking to the man as people around him plead with him to get off the flight.
Someone in the background can be heard saying: “Everyone’s had enough”.
The officers continue to talk to the man, asking him to leave his seat and disembark the flight.
“I’m going to give you one more warning to get off the flight,” one officer says.
The man responds: “What have I done?”
The male officer is seen holding a Taser before the man says: “One more time or I get tasered?”.
Police continue to ask the man to leave the flight, before he complains about paying $5000 for his ticket and insisting he had “done nothing”.
“I’m going to give you a stun with the taser, are you ready for it,” the male officer says.
The female officer again asks the man to get out of his seat but he refuses.
He is then dragged out off his seat by the officers and into the aisle, before he is eventually pushed off the aircraft.
An AFP spokesman said officers responded to a request of assistance from airline staff at Melbourne Airport, following reports of alleged aggressive and disruptive behaviour.
The man was arrested and removed from the flight.
No charges have been made but the AFP have confirmed they are investigating.
