THE Seventh-Day Adventist Church has successfully held a Digital Discipleship program at Maranatha Hall in East Honiara on Sunday.
The three-day training program commenced on Friday.
A statement from SDA Solomon Islands stated that this is part of a global Adventist initiative.
“It is an initiative by the church that is rolled out right around the world to train church members in utilizing media platforms for the sharing of the gospel.”
The statement added this program is about “Empowering the next generation through Digital Discipleship! Together, we’re learning to share the gospel and inspire change in the digital world.”
A similar program was conducted for Western Region and Eastern Region last week.
The program for the Western Region was held at Kukudu on Kolombangara and for Eastern Region, it was held in Auki.
Participants in the programs described them as eye-opening and said they were excited to equip themselves with necessary media skills to be effective Disciples of Christ on social media platforms.
