New Boxing Commission of Fiji (BCF) heavyweight champion Semi Dauloloma has dedicated his win to his wife and children.

Dauloloma won by knockout against James Singh in the fourth round under the Zeg Kings Boxing Promotion on Saturday night at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.

The Vanuavatu, Lau native said the victory was sweet after sacrificing training the past few months.

“This win is for my wife and my children; they were sick for quite a while, so this is for them,” Dauloloma said.

He added he could not wait to have a decent meal after being on a strict diet leading to the fight.

Asked of his plan for a next fight, he said: “I’m ready for whoever want to challenge me. I am looking forward.

“I will retire after three years and then find a job,” Dauloloma added.

He acknowledged the support of his coach, family and the various businesses who sponsored him.

Meanwhile, in the main bout, Runqi Zhou won the WBA (World Boxing Association) super bantamweight Oceania title after a split point decision win against Fiji’s Junior Binnu Singh.

In another title fight, New Zealand’s Oliver Firth claimed the light heavyweight NZPBC Oriental Pacific title after beating Samuela Nagari with a fifth round TKO win (technical knockout).

In the welterweight contest Rakuro Daunivavana won by unanimous points decision against Samisoni Gonewai. While Filise Nabua won his first professional bout against Ilikimi Saudromodromo. Nabua won on a split points decision.

In the middleweight bout, Josefa Takaywa secured a first round TKO win over Fredrick Chand.

Sera Bolatini won the super welterweight WBA Oceania title after defeating Australia’s Connie Chan in a unanimous points decision win.

In another women’s bout, New Zealand’s Sherilyn won over Elena Kili in the women’s heavyweight contest. Sherilyn stopped Kili in the second round.
