She is in the country to performing during the Pepsi Halftime show in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific clash between the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and the Reds at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva, tomorrow.
She is known professionally as Paulini and is of Fiji heritage. She is a singer, songwriter and musical theatre actress.
Born in Suva, Paulini moved to Sydney with her family at the age of four.
She rose to fame in 2003 as a contestant on the first season of Australian Idol and was placed fourth in the competition.
Paulini signed a recording contract with Sony BMG Australia and released her debut studio album One Determined Heart (2004), which debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified platinum.
The album included the platinum single Angel Eyes, which spent three consecutive weeks at number one on the ARIA Singles Chart.
Paulini received two ARIA No. 1 Chart Awards for both the album and single.
“I watched the Drua games and even though I don’t know how the game works, it’s exciting to see new the players flourish.
“I’m really grateful to be here and be part of the game,” she said.

The 41-year-old hopes to inspire upcoming artists and individuals to do better and be the better version of themselves.
Asked about her journey, the youngest of six said, “I always love to sing. I’ve always love to find opportunities to sing.
“I’ve always part of school concerts and then I auditioned for Idol and the rest was history.”
