Crowne Plaza to host SPTE 2025 – The Fiji Times

The Pacific Tourism Organisation will host its annual flagship South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) at the newly opened Crowne Plaza Fiji in Nadi next year.

The announcement of the 9th SPTE — scheduled for May 9-10 next year — follows the successful SPTE 2024 event, held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort and Spa on Denarau.

SPTO chief executive officer Christopher Cocker said their enthusiasm for next year’s event highlighted their dedication to fostering collaboration and innovation in the Pacific tourism sector.

“Our goal is to create an exceptional experience for our members and stakeholders, one that drives meaningful connections and sustainable growth across the region,” Mr Cocker said.

“While the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa has been confirmed as the venue, we continue to ensure all logistical details are perfectly aligned to provide the best experience for our participants.”

The SPTE serves as a crucial platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and stakeholders to engage, collaborate and showcase the Pacific islands’ diverse offerings.

Mr Cocker said the event presented a unique opportunity for stakeholders in the tourism industry to come together and explore new avenues for collaboration and growth.

As preparations progressed for SPTE 2025, stakeholders can expect to access resources on the event website in the coming months to facilitate their participation.
