The China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) has conducted Chinese Kungfu martial art training for officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) and their family members at Rove recently.
The training was initiated by RSIPF Commissioner Mr. Mostyn Mangau for RSIPF officers and their family members.
The training was coordinated and organized by the Human Resources Department of the RSIPF.
A statement from the CPLT said the Chinese Kungfu martial art enhances the practical combat capabilities of the RSIPF to promote traditional cultural exchange between China and the Solomon Islands (SI), which consolidates the friendship between the people of the two countries.
CPLT Chinese Kungfu martial art instructor Officer Eason Hao Siyuan said we were not only taught Chinese Kungfu techniques but also conducted a ceremonial beginning and ending culture of it, which conveyed to the trainees the cultural essence of Chinese Kungfu, which is winning people over with virtue and cultivating oneself through Chinese Kungfu.
Officer Siyuan said during the training process, the instructors precisely broke down the key points of each movement to the participants. The trainees were also fully engaged in every move, punch, and kick.
The police officers all praised that Chinese Kungfu training not only significantly enhanced their physical fitness and combat skills but also boosted their confidence in handling high-risk duties.
The training has enabled them to have a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. This training is not only a deepening of police skills but also a cultural exchange. It is injecting new incentive into the deepening of police cooperation between the two countries.
