The executive of the Solomon Islands Basketball Federation (SIBF) is hosting an appreciation event for the 3×3 Men’s and Women’s teams this weekend.

Solomon Islands contingent to the Pacific Mini- Games in Palau arrived back in the country on Thursday evening. The flight touched down at 5pm.

A colourful welcome was organised for Team Solomon.

In a statement the federation said; “To celebrate the incredible journey and show gratitude for the unwavering support behind our 3×3 Men’s and Women’s teams, the President and Executives of Solomon Basketball is proud to host a special appreciation event in honor of everyone who made our participation at the Palau Mini Games possible!” 

The event will be stated at the Oval area, Pacific Casino Hotel this Saturday evening.

Members of the team and their families, team managers, board members, dignitaries, government officials, sponsors and partners are expected to attend.

“This event is our heartfelt thank you to all who contributed with dedication. From behind-the-scenes to being there with our players,” the statement concluded.

The men’s team managed to reach the final and narrowly lost to Fiji 18-19.
