Burns Creek SDA sch gets support from Hardware firm

BNBM Hardware & Home Centre only opens its door just less than a month but its dedication to public welfare and building a better future for Solomon Islands is already being felt.

And it had proven that by supporting Burns Creek Adventist School located East of Honiara with furnitures valued at $56, 000.

On Tuesday morning, officials from BNBM Solomon Islands personally delivered the donated items in a truck load to the school.

The school commenced its academic year last week.

In a brief ceremony held at the school hall, the staff and students witnessed the handing over of the equipment to the school Principal Partinson Bekala.

Mr Bekala said, the school requested for support and BNBM Solomon Islands delivered the items to the school.

“These include work stations, desks, chairs, cabinets, steel seaters, storage lockers and other things. 

“Thank you BNBM for the huge and generous gifts to the school,” he said.

Mr Bekala told Solomon Star, the school students and staff were excited to receive such generous donation.  

“The school is very grateful for the gifts. BNBM is a business house that has a strong passion for support to schools and communities,” he said.

He said, both the staff and students will benefit from the items.

Its understood the school is undergoing expansion, thus the donation was timely.

Desks for the school

The donation is believed to be the biggest ever received by the school from any hardware company in Honiara.

School also expressed their appreciation through a donation to the officials of the hardware company.

The BNBM Solomon Islands officials expressed how excited they are to support the school for the benefit of the students and staff now and into the future.
