Buri CHS successfully stages graduation 

A TOTAL of 46 form five students from Buri Community High School (CHS) in North Ranoggah, Western Province successfully graduated on Wednesday.

School principal Owen Kelly Bulehite told the Solomon Star that it was a colourful ceremony which was held on the theme: ‘To Embrace Gods ideal.’

Despite a slight drizzle during the early part of the day, the ceremony venue was packed as students, staff, parents, guardians, guests, friends and supporters graced the event.

Mr Bulehite said, the guest speaker during the ceremony was Stanley Simeon who congratulated the students and wished them all the best in their future education journey.

Guest of honour at the annual graduation and prize giving day was Provincial Minister of Education Gordon Zebo.

Minister Zebo acknowledged the school administration for inviting him to be part of the ceremony.

He also congratulated the students for reaching another milestone in their education journey.

Member of the Provincial Assembly for Ward 4 and Provincial Finance Minister Ron Ghemu was also present to witness the ceremony.

With the form three and five students due to sit for their exams in a week, Minister Zebo also took the opportunity to wish them best of luck.

The school boss Bulehite has acknowledged the final year students and their parents, guardians and supporters for their contribution to the school over the past years.

He thanked them for their continuous support towards the operation of the school this year.

Mr Bulehite added, the school like any other rural community high schools also had its own challenges.

But despite these challenges the school also made some good achievements this year.

He acknowledged his staff for their support and contribution towards the operation of the school this year.

The colourful program ended with entertainment and feasting.

Form three and five students will leave the school soon after their exams.

The 2024 academic year will come to an end on Friday 29th November.
