Botitu extends stay with Castres

Botitu has 17 Test caps for the Flying Fijians under his belt and played 94 matches for the club since joining them in 2020.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games gold medallist Vilimoni Botitu has extended his stay with French Top 14 club Castres Olympique.

The club announced the 26-year-old is going to stay right up to 2026.

Botitu has 17 Test caps for the Flying Fijians under his belt and played 94 matches for the club since joining them in 2020.

Botitu, is a utility back excelling at centre, full-back and first-five eight.

“I decided to stay because I am very happy at Castres,” Botitu said.

“The club is like a family to me. It has given me opportunities and I like the group that helps each other on and off the pitch.

“Everyone works hard for the team and not for the individual. I am convinced that I still have great things to experience at Castres even if for family reasons I am only extending my contract for one season.”
