After successfully auditioning for Fiji Fashion Week 2025 (FFW), Benny is ready to show the world what he’s made of — something that has been inspired by the journey of self-expression that his 1.2 million followers across platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram have witnessed.

“I’ve always wanted to model,” Benny said.

“It’s been a dream of mine ever since, and now that it’s finally happening. I feel so energised and ready to embrace this new chapter of my life.”

With a massive online presence, his authenticity and unique style have won over a loyal audience, making him not just a social media influencer, but a powerful advocate for Fijian culture.

“Social media has allowed me to build an online presence that’s true to who I am,” the Ba lad explains.

“It’s a space where I can express my personal style, engage with new audiences, and even collaborate with brands.

“I want to use my platform to promote Fijian designers and show the world the beauty of our culture and creativity.”

His ability to connect with audiences and his commitment to representation is driving his foray into the fashion world and has been inspired by American supermodel and content creator Alex Consani, who shares Benny’s passion for bold fashion choices and self-expression.

“Her vintage style, confidence, and boldness inspire me so much.

“She’s not just about fashion, her content is motivating, funny, and fearless. She’s taught me to rise above negativity and stay true to myself.”

But Benny’s ambitions reach beyond the runway.

As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, his desire to model isn’t just about style – it’s about representation in an industry that, while evolving, still struggles with inclusivity.

“It’s incredibly important for me to be part of a movement that reflects the real world,” he said with a smile.

“The runway should celebrate diversity and inclusivity. By being here, I hope to challenge narrow beauty standards and empower others to feel seen and represented in this industry.”

For him, fashion is more than just clothes – it’s about helping people express their individuality and confidence through their unique choices.

“Fashion is constantly evolving, and being part of that journey – helping people express themselves through unique, beautiful clothes – is so rewarding.”
