Saints star Jack Sinclair refuses to let his side lose focus as they know they could still miss out on the finals if they can’t beat Brisbane Lions next round and other results go against them.
Sinclair had 38 disposals in tonight’s win over Geelong and loved the atmosphere but he said the Saints would stay in the moment and not get carried away.
“We have been improving. We started well, hit the wall and are starting to hit a bit of form – it was an amazing atmosphere,” Sinclair told Channel Seven.
“We set ourselves up for a big game tonight. Every week is a final, stuff like that, but we are trying to be levelheaded.
“We don’t want to look too far ahead. I feel like we lived in the moment tonight.”
