Ballet International Gala is BIG Live’s annual ballet gala. This year it will feature dancers from around the world, including Iana Salenko, from Staatsballett, Berlin; Daniil Simkin, from American Ballet Theatre and Maria Khoreva from Mariinsky Theatre. Canberra Theatre, August 2.

- Sydney six-piece band Chasing the Moon combines the sounds of European Jazz with Latin Jazz. Smith’s Alternative, July 31.
- Nicky Bomba and the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, University of Canberra Hub, August 2.
- Art Song Canberra welcomes Lorina Gore and Andrew Goodwin in Tea for Two, a program of songs and duets from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Wesley Music Centre, August 3.
- Greenaway Studio welcomes the Kurrajong Ensemble from the Riverina featuring Fran Griffin and Keith Griffin on flutes with Harold Gretton on classical guitar. August 3.
Stage
- Using Forum Theatre, an interactive model that allows audiences to explore real-world dilemmas, Rebus Theatre’s Sammy Moynihan is staging a new show, Stages of Empathy. Ralph Wilson Theatre, Gorman Arts Centre, on July 31.
- The Australian Dance Theatre’s Marrow, created by Canberra-raised artistic director Daniel Riley, will be at The Playhouse July 31-August 1.
- Are You Pulling My Leg features a line-up of Australian comedians with disability or chronic illness. The Q, Queanbeyan, August 2.
- Cahoots Lab 2025 is holding its Show ‘n’ Tell, showing off works-in-progress. Courtyard Studio, Canberra Theatre Centre, August 2.

- In 金 (Metal), artist Situ transforms the ANU’s Australian Centre on China in the World gallery with Chinese ink, cement, titanium and incense ash collected from Taoist temples in NSW, alongside fragments of the artist’s earlier works. Opens July 31.
- M16 Artspace has a satellite exhibition bringing together the work of three a M16 Studio artists; Lynne Flemons, Nick Offer, and Madeline Cardone, and studio alumna Savanhdary Vongpoothorn. Civic Art Bureau Window Gallery, August 2-17.
