Tribute act Abbalanche are returning to Queanbeyan for their 30th Anniversary Tour with harmonies, dazzling costumes and high-energy performances. The B, Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre, July 12.
A special screening of Spear, starring Stephen Page’s son, Hunter Page-Lochard will be accompanied by a Q&A with Stephen Page exploring the film’s themes of dislocation, masculinity and connection to Country. Arc Cinema, NFSA, July 12.
Author Martin Thomas will be in Canberra to promote his book Clever Men, an exploration of what really happened when Charles Mountford led a team of Australian and American scientists to explore traditional Aboriginal life.

- Big Name, No Blankets by Andrea James, is billed as an epic piece of rock n’ roll theatre celebrating the impact of Australia’s Warumpi Band. Canberra Theatre, July 10-12.
- TV personality Mel Buttle is here with her show Taking My Sunglasses Off To Hear You Better, The Playhouse, July 12.
- Kym Degenhart’s Kix Arts Productions from Queanbeyan will celebrate Bastille Day with an evening of cabaret called L’Esprit de Paris, featuring dancing, French chansons, comedy, and the high-kicking Can-Can. At Luna, Civic, July 13.
- Reality TV and drag aficionados are in for a dazzling spectacle when the touring show, Bring Back My Wives, plays at the Hellenic Club, Woden, July 13.

- Eight-time Aria award-winner Paul Grabowsky Paul Grabowsky will appear in a solo concert Tuggeranong Arts Centre July 12.
- Pete Ross & The Sapphire are coming to Canberra to launch their new single, This Is War. Smith’s Alternative, Civic, July 12.
- The Kingsland Alumni will perform a concert, Dreaming of Spring, at Wesley Music Centre, July 15.
