Reality TV and drag aficionados are in for a dazzling spectacle when the touring show, Bring Back My Wives, arrives at the Hellenic Club for a one-night-only show.

Billed as a crossover merging the glitz and glamour of The Real Housewives with the drama of the popular reality series, RuPaul’s Drag Race, it will be hosted by Justin Hill, host of Drag Race Down Under: The Podcast, for Stan Australia.

Famed TV personalities, Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Whitney Rose from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, will be joined on stage by drag stars Laganja Estranja, Ashley Madison, Luxx Noir London and Eureka O’Hara.

Bring Back My Wives has been brought to the club by Canberra-born-and-bred Ian Goudie, the founder 25 years ago of Goudie Events Global, now believed to be the largest LGBTQI+ talent agency in the world.

Goudie also founded Diversity ACT, and was the winner of the 2013 Volunteer of the Year ACT and the 2013 Prime Minister’s Excellence in Community Service award, presented by Julia Gillard.

Keen that it be seen in his hometown, Goudie says: “The joining of these two cultural forces is bold and unexpected… you can expect all things fabulous—fashion, fun and energy.”

The show, played with a dance troupe, will be peppered with commentary, lip-syncs and confessions. It will open with a drag group number, followed by a performance by a rising local artist, audience competitions and games.

Hill will lead a Q&A session with the TV and drag performers and the evening will wind up with a with a showbiz finale, The Superfan Showdown.

Bring Back My Wives, Hellenic Club, Woden, July 13.
