Jehovah’s Witnesses Gather in Samoa for Pure Worship Convention

Apia, Samoa -11 September 2025: Jehovah Witnesses in Samoa are coming together for a two-day Pure Worship Convention to be held at Apia Park this weekend.

“This year’s convention theme is intended to bring clarity to many who are searching for hope,” said Sio Taua, spokesperson for Jehovah Witnesses in Samoa.

He said the convention is expected to leave each day feeling refreshed and re-energized with a deeper understanding of worship and how this can help them cope with today’s challenges.

The Witnesses are one of the largest non-profit convention organizations in the world and will once again fuel the local economy as they draw hundreds of attendee families from American Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, America and Samoa.

The Convention program will feature 54 Bible-based videos, live interviews, inspiring talks and real-life experiences for all ages.  A major highlight features an in-depth look at the life of Jesus Christ – through what he said, what he did and how he lived.

Saturday’s highlight is a baptism of local candidates. Many attendees are also looking forward to Episode 2 and 3 of “The Good News According to Jesus.” This 18-episode video series is a comprehensive look at the life and ministry of Jesus Christ based solely on the Gospel accounts.

“Episode 1 was premiered as a special feature at last year’s convention series and Episode 2 and 3 will be shown in two parts on Friday and Saturday,” said Taua.

Nearly 11 million people attended more than 6,000 three-day conventions organized by Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide in 2024.

The convention program will also be presented in English with simultaneous translation at the Fa’atoia Kingdom Hall in Apia.
