Apia, Samoa – 09 September 2025: The new members of Parliament duly elected on 29 September’s general election, will be sworn in next Tuesday, 16 September.
The Head of State, Tuimaleali’ifano Va’aletoa’ Sualauvi 11 issued the Writ yesterday declaring the 18th Parliament of Samoa to convene next Tuesday.
Parliament will elect a new Speaker then all Members of Parliament will be sworn-in and the announcement of a new Government.
The FAST Party has already informed the Head of State in writing of its elected MPs who will form a new FAST Government when parliament convenes next Tuesday.
The swearing in ceremony will take place at the Tuana’imato Multipurpose Gym as the parliament building at Mulinu’u is currently undergoing renovations.
Under the Constitution, parliament must convene within 45 days after the general election.
