Three people and two dogs stranded in a cable car over the Whanganui River have been successfully rescued.
Emergency services told the Herald it was confirmed about 8.47pm that everyone involved was now “safe on dry land”.
Earlier this evening, Central Fire and Emergency shift commander Alison Munn said crews
received several phone calls about the incident.
“One crew from Whanganui was sent to the scene.”
