The Solomon Islands Women’s National Football Team has made a significant leap in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola Women’s World Rankings, climbing eight places to reach 73rd position.
The updated rankings, released on August 7, 2025, reflect the team’s rise from their previous position of 86th, recorded just last month.
This remarkable jump follows the team’s historic triumph at the recent OFC Women’s Nations Cup, where they secured the country’s first-ever major regional title in women’s football.
The new ranking places Solomon Islands third in the Oceania region, behind only regional powerhouses Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.
Meanwhile, the Solomon Islands Men’s National Team remains at 149th in the world standings, holding second place in the region behind New Zealand. The next update for the men’s rankings is scheduled for release on September 18.
