Luwi appointed head coach of KOSSA FC U-18

The former KOSSA FC marksman Joe Luwi is appointed the head coach for KOSSA FC U-18 team this season.

KOSSA FC made the announcement recently following the appointment of its former marksman Joe Luwi which set to led the KOSSA FC U18 team this season.

“The Former KOSSA FC marksman Joe Luwi is set to take charge of the club’s U18 team as head coach.

The Temotu native Joe Lui, who is no stranger to the club, has officially confirmed his availability to lead the youth side following the departure of interim coach Alfie Chacha.

KOSSA confirmed that Luwi was appointed head coach of the U18 team following Chacha who is expected to return to national league action with one of the clubs currently active in the competition.

Luwi, a key member of KOSSA FC’s successful 2008 OFC Champions League campaign, currently resides in West Honiara. His appointment has been warmly received by former teammate and current senior team head coach, Franco Ne’e.

“Joe was a fantastic player in his day, and even now he still dazzles with the ball at his feet,” KOSSA FC head Coach Ne’e revealed.

“Having him work with these young players will create a positive learning environment. It also keeps Joe involved in the game he loves—and we all know how much he cares about this club.”

The return of Luwi is a welcome boost for the club, and on behalf of everyone at KOSSA FC, we wish him all the best in his new role.
