Fijiana 7s forward Verenaisi Ditavutu will debut for the Vodafone Fijiana XVs side when they take on United States at 6am tomorrow morning.
She is named at centre by head coach Ioan Cunningham while fellow sevens player Kelerayani Luvu is likely to debut off the bench.
Also from the sevens squad, 25-year-old Ilisapeci Delaiwau will pair with Alowesi Nakoci at wing.
Cunnigham said: “This is a significant step forward in our Rugby World Cup preparation. The players are very excited by the opportunity to play in the USA at such a world-class venue and in front of a big crowd.
It’s an occasion that inspires pride and purpose.”
Currently ranked ninth in the world, the USA presents a formidable challenge. The Eagles are known for their structured play, physicality, and experienced squad filled with World Cup veterans.
“We expect a tough, physical contest,” he added.
“But our focus has been on shifting the ball away from contact and playing to our strengths—speed, width and instinct.”
