Fiji Airways Fiji men’s sevens utility back Sakiusa Siqila is determined to make his mark in the Skipper Cup competition, which gets underway on August 2.
Siqila has been featuring for Covenant Brothers in the Suva Rugby Union club competition.
“I’ve had a bit of training in the gym with the focus on honing my skills,” he said.
“I play for the Covenant sports ministry team in the Suva Rugby club games.”
Siqila said it is a big challenge for his club to compete in the Escott Shield competition after their promotion from the Koroturaga Shield.
“It’s a big task for the boys but I trust in the boys that they will do well this season,” he said.
“I can’t wait to don the Suva jersey again with the Skipper Cup coming up in August.”
Siqila indicated that he has been enjoying time with his family during the HSBC SVNs Series off-season.
