The Varoon Karan-coached Nadroga football side is working on strategies to bounce back in this weekend’s Extra Premier League (EPL) clash against Navua at the Uprising Sports Centre, in Pacific Harbour, Deuba.

Nadroga team director Navin Kant said their 2-1 loss to Lautoka last Sunday gave them a good understanding of what to expect from Navua.

The hosts are on high after their newly appointed coach Babs Khan guided them to a 1-0 win over Suva last Saturday.

Kant said the Nadroga side has been working on their finishing départment, which has been their downfall.

“I don’t want to say anything more but we will try to build a formidable side for our next game.

“We are playing Navua in an away match, so we have ample time to work on our combination.”

The Stallions have the services of Sakeo Taganeca, William Valentine, Vuniuci Tikomaimereke and Jack Wara. Kant said the team needs to play right to the final whistle to win games.

“After the Fiji FACT, the team prepared well. We displayed good football in the first half and second half there were some areas we had to work on.”

Nadroga is currently in sixth spot with 13 points from 10 games and Navua on fourth spot (15 points) behind leaders Labasa (26), Rewa (25) and Ba (15).
