As the countdown continues for the 12th Mini Games in Palau, the Athletics Solomon has officially announced its final squad to represent the country in the upcoming 12th Mini Games at Palau.
The finalized squad is said to comprise of six Para-athletes, eight team officials and eleven top runners who will represent Team Solomon at the Mini Games.
According to Athletics Solomon the Para-Athletes selected for the squad are Raymond Jaysis, Nipson Ologa, Moffat Tolomae, Peter Breez, Donald Laeta and Rodney Konai.
The final athletics team consists of two females and nine male athletes. The female athletes are Diana Matakali and Julian Sosimo, while the male athletes are; O’Neil Rakau, Leon Pusua, Lendrick Ola, Gee Jay Junior, Stephen Rahuasi, Junior David, Leeroy Alulu, Frances Dau and Luke Haga.
The Athletics team final squad are currently undergoing intensive trainings at the moment at SINIS gearing up for the Mini games.
Luke Haga one of finest Solomon Islands sprinter is currently in Australia for a two weeks training as part of his preparation for the Mini games.
Star Sport understands that few of the sport federations in the country are yet to release their final squad for the games but hope they will finalized their squad this week or next week before leaving to Palau at the end of this month.
Meanwhile, the Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games’ will be held at Koror from June 29 to July 9.
