2025 Borehole Projects – Supporting Rural Water Access
As part of GRML’s ongoing commitment to community development, a total of 11 boreholes have been confirmed under the 2025 Borehole Program. These include:
- 4 boreholes for MDA communities
- 3 boreholes for KTDA communities
- 4 boreholes distributed across the Gold Ridge relocation villages
The drilling contractor engaged for this important project is Pacific Strata Drilling and Water Engineering, a trusted local company.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in ensuring reliable and safe water access for rural communities, improving quality of life and promoting public health.
A Milestone in Community Water Support
This brings the total number of borehole program for 2024 to 21, representing one of GRML’s most ambitious and community-driven infrastructure rollouts to date. All completed boreholes have been drilled with appropriate engineering and sustainability plans, ensuring long-term access to clean water for the identified communities.
“Access to safe water is a basic right, and this program reflects our shared responsibility with the communities to improve lives and promote good health. GRML is proud to be a trusted partner in this journey,” said GRML Community Relations Supervisor, Mr. Mickson Manearea.
GRML acknowledges the support of landowners, tribal leaders, and government stakeholders in enabling this important initiative. The company will provide regular updates as drilling progresses in the months ahead.
