Binnu Singh Jnr will fight for the WBA (World Boxing Association) Oceania Super Bantamweight title against Rungi Zhou of Australia.
Boxing Commission of Fiji (BCF) chairman Adi Narayan confirmed the fight will be on July 19 at the Vodafone Arena, Suva under the Kings Boxing Promotion programme which will be the first tournament for promoter Naroon Buksh.
“This will be one of the highlights of the Kings Boxing Promotion programme,” he said.
“This is the first WBA title fight in Fiji and BCF has been assured by the WBA Oceania president Ferlin Marsh that he will consider more WBA title fights in future.”
Narayan expressed his appreciation to both Marsh and Faiyaz Khan.
Meanwhile, Zhou has 13 bouts to his name with nine wins, three losses and a draw. He last fought in Fiji in October 2024.
