MINISTER of Home Affairs, Isikeli Tuwai Vave Jnr has condemned the extremely cruel alleged murder of a 29 year old woman at the cocoa area (old CDC4) GPPOL 11 in North East Guadalcanal on Wednesday, 21 May 2025.

Minister Vave joined Minister for Health and Medical Services, Dr Paul Bosawai in condemning this barbaric act done by the perpetrator, who allegedly raped and murdered the woman.

“Such barbaric behaviour is unacceptable and must not be repeated again.

“Solomon Islanders must fully engaged in building and maintaining healthy relationships and having meaningful, authentic interactions with others,” Minister Vave said.

He said an innocent life had been taken away too soon.

“An innocent life was taken away whom others entirely depend on especially a small baby still breast feeding.

“I share condolences with the friends, relatives, and immediate members for the loss of their loved one,” he said.

A suspected has been apprehended following the killing.
