Ba is gearing up with renewed focus, strategic adjustments and a belief that this could be their year to reclaim glory at the BiC Fiji FACT tournament.
With training in full swing and tactical fine tuning underway, Ba’s coaching staff and players are building strong momentum ahead of their opening fixture.
“We’ve been putting in consistent work during our sessions, focusing on physical conditioning and tactical sharpness,” said Ba football president Dr. Diva Singh
“The players are responding well and we’re building the kind of rhythm we need going into a major tournament like the Fiji FACT.”
While Ba carries a legacy of excellence, the technical team isn’t relying on history alone. This campaign sees the Men in Black introducing key tactical refinements aimed at unlocking stubborn defenses and dominating transition play.
“We’ve introduced a few tactical adjustments after analyzing our opponents. Transitional play and set-piece execution have been a real focus,” said Singh.
He added that friendly matches have been instrumental in shaping match readiness. These games allowed the coaching staff to test formations, assess player combinations, and build cohesion under simulated pressure.
Injury concerns are minimal, with only a few minor knocks being closely monitored by the club’s medical team. Ba is expected to field a full-strength squad.
Young players are also expected to play a key role in the campaign.
“Our young talents who’ve been performing in training and league matches are hungry. It’s a chance for them to prove themselves on a bigger stage,” Singh said.
He indicated player workload is being carefully managed, with GPS tracking and tailored recovery plans keeping the squad fresh and focused.
“Morale is high. The players are motivated, and there’s strong unity in the dressing room,” said Singh.
“We’re putting a lot of emphasis on tactical cohesion and communication; every player needs to know their role and execute under pressure.
“Teams like Rewa, Navua, and Lautoka always present strong challenges. We respect them, but we’re confident in our own abilities.”
The tournament will begin tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
