The 2024 Fiji Cup tournament will be from March 13-15 at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva. The tournament returns after a lapse of three years.
Basketball Fiji interim chief operations officer and tournament director William Peter said it was due to challenges in securing a venue.
The three-day tournament will see 16 teams which are the top four teams from each association.
The four basketball associations are Central, Raiwaqa, Nadi and Lautoka.
“It will bring together the nation’s top talent,” he said.
“With qualified women’s and qualified men’s teams from the prestigious associations, the competition will be intense.”
Peter added the tournament would also be used to select the national team for the Pacific Mini Games in Palau.
He indicated they have submitted an extended squad and would hold two more trials before the Mini Games.
