Poor finish

Meanwhile, the Osea Kolinisau-coached Fiji men’s rugby sevens team has lost their top placing in the series standings. They are now in third spot with South Africa while Argentina leads the series table with 68 points followed by Spain with 64.

The Fijians had themselves to blame when they lost 10-12 to South Africa in the Cup semi-final despite having a one man advantage. In the 3rd place play-offs they went down again 22-7 to Spain. The men’s competition was won by Argentina after beating South Africa 19-12.
