Coach Chua Praises Trio

National women’s football coach Angeline Chua has praised the trio that have secured contracts off-shore.

Adi Litia Bakaniceva and Maria Veronica have signed with Hekari football in Papua New Guinea while New Zealand’s Western Spring have secured Angeline Rekha.

Chua indicated was a milestone for them and the women’s football in the country.

“These players are trailblazers,” Chua told Fiji FA Media.

“Their success shows what is possible with hard work and determination. We hope to see more players following in their footsteps.”

Bakaniceva, the national and Rewa midfielder joined her club last week; Veronica joined her this week.

Rekha who is a versatile defender is expected to travel on February 1. Her strong tackling, aerial prowess, and leadership qualities have earned her recognition as one of Fiji’s finest defenders.
