Nadi Sports and Social Club took out the inaugural Ladies Business House Bowls Competition last week.
The side laced with Tascheen Stuart, Raijieli Jamieson, Anita Devi, Laisani Sinu, and Shami Devi defeated Lautoka Wonder Women 16-13 in the grand finale.
Lautoka Wonder Women had Bikashni Dass, Dinusha Chandima, Pritika Singh and Ms Low.
Club secretary Shamal Kumar said the first-ever ladies-only competition marked a fantastic milestone for women’s bowls in Nadi.
“Congratulations to the Nadi Sports Club team for their hard-fought victory in the Cup Final and a big shout out to all teams for their amazing efforts and sportsmanship throughout the competition,” he said.
“This event not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also paved the way for women in bowls, as the winners will now join NSSC to form a dedicated women’s team.”
He thanked all participants, supporters, and organisers for making this event a memorable success.
