“Team BSMI would like to congratulate Luke and his fiancé Stella on what promises to be another exciting chapter, on and off the field.”
Luke Tagi.
Having arrived during the previous season, Fijian pillar Luke Tagi has signed a new contract until 2028 with Aviron Bayonnais, the Basque club announced.
“We have proudly partnered with Luke on his professional journey to date, starting with his move to Paris in 2019 to begin his story in the Top 14 with Stade Francais.”
Luke made 18 first-team appearances for Stade over two seasons before moving to Aix-en-Provence in ProD2.
After two hugely successful seasons with Provence, making 45 league appearances and registering eight tries, Luke made a well-deserved return to the French Top 14 with Bayonne.
Prior to beginning his time with Bayonne, Luke was a star performer for the Flying Fijians at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, showcasing his incredible skillset on the biggest stage and proving himself to be a World Class talent.
“His presence will continue to shine in the group”.
“Team BSMI would like to congratulate Luke and his fiancé Stella on what promises to be another exciting chapter, on and off the field.”
