A disappointed Christopher Wasasala said it wasn’t their day after his Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) side lost 6-1 to Police in Suva yesterday.

“I’m apologise to our supporters about the loss,” he told SUNsports.

“We need more support for the RFMF football side to help us next year.”

Wasasala said they have taken the loss to Police as a motivation to come back a stronger side in 2025.

“We lacked experience and we’ll try to bring in more experienced players next year,” he said.

“Our communication was poor and it wasn’t our day. I thank the players for giving their best and we congratulate the Police team.”

Wasasala said they spent three weeks in camp preparing for the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl football competition.

“The loss is behind us now but we’ll work hard for next year and come back stronger,” he added.
