‘Top five’ season ends on a high

‘Top five’ season ends on a high

Mt Hutt Ski Area finished its season in near perfect conditions with the usual mayhem and fun.

Manager James Mackenzie said they had an excellent run this year, with strong guest numbers “making it one of our top five seasons over the past 20 years”.

The fantastic conditions on Saturday made for “wall-to-wall skiing and riding” and was topped off by pond skim antics and the annual dog derby.

On Sunday, the last day of the season, around 12cm of fresh powder snow draped the skifield.
