Kolinisau had earlier indicated with SUNsports, “My heart has always been for Fiji and I love the opportunity to build that team for the next four years.”

Olympic silver medal winning coach Osea Kolinisau will meet with the Fiji Rugby Union interim Trustees today to present his post- Paris report.
This was confirmed last night by FRU interim chairman Peter Mazey, who said Kolinisau’s review will be on Thursday.
Kolinisau will be meeting the interim trustees today.
Meanwhile Kolinisau has indicated his interest to take the squad to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
For the Paris assignment, Kolinisau took charge of the squad four months before the Olympic Games where they added a silver medal to the golds won in Rio and Tokyo with the hosts France grabbing gold at the Stade de France.
Kolinisau had earlier indicated with SunSPORTS, “My heart has always been for Fiji and I love the opportunity to build that team for the next four years.”
He spoke about the many “youngsters in the team now”.
He said that he wished to stay, but the decision remained with FRU.
Kolinisau said he was proud with the nucleus of the team right now, highlighting those in the 24 to 26 age bracket.
“We know the standard that we are supposed to be playing in. We have a base that we can build on if we are given the opportunity,” he said.
Mazey was asked the question – Will he be considered?
“Yes, of course,” he said.
“The policy for all contracts when they come out for renewal at Fiji Rugby is for them to be advertised, so I am not certain whether we will be advertising or will it still be carried through or not.
“But will he be considered? Yes, definitely.
“Look I am a fan of what he has done, he came in with only four months and we went from not achieving anything from 22 tournaments to silver in the Olympics. That’s an incredible achievement.”
