A large house fire has forced the closure of several roads in central Auckland.
Plumes of thick smoke can be seen across the Mount Albert and St Lukes suburbs as fire crews continue to battle the blaze.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson said they were called to the house on St Lukes Rd at 7.10am.
The fire has been upgraded to a second alarm as six fire crews try to extinguish it.
The spokesperson said there have been no reports of injuries and a fire investigator is on the scene.
Auckland Transport is warning buses 22N, 22R, 650 and the OuterLink will detour to Sainsbury Rd.
