Digicel Fiji football team captain Roy Krishna has extended his contract with Odisha FC for another year despite offers from three other Indian Super League (ISL) clubs.
He confirmed this to SUNsports yesterday.
The star striker will continue his journey with the Juggernauts, solidifying his presence in Indian football for the 2024/25 season.
Roy, who first made the move to the ISL in 2019, is excited about his future with Odisha FC.
“I’m very pleased to extend my stay in Odisha for another year,” he said.
“I’ve had a great season and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the coming season.
“The energy and support I feel from our fans both on and off the field is unparalleled, and it truly fuels my passion for the game.”
The Siberia, Labasa, native had a highly successful season with the side and helped the team reach the finals of the Super Cup and the semi-finals of the ISL. He is currently training with the national team as they prepare for the Nations Cup, which starts in Suva, later this month.
