ACT Brumbies women’s rugby winger turned halfback Kolora Lomani has joined the Fiji Airways Fijiana sevens squad for the Paris Olympic Games.
Lomani played for the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua when they hoisted the Super W title in 2022 and 2023.
“Coming from fifteens to sevens is pretty hard after my first week of full training with the team,” she said.
“We don’t do so much conditioning in fifteens like we do in sevens but I’m enjoying it. The girls have been pushing me on the side.”
Lomani said despite all the challenges she is to push for her spot in the team with the Olympics coming up.
Meanwhile, the Fijiana women’s sevens team flew out to France on Sunday where they’ll spend a week of training before heading to Spain for the Madrid Sevens.
