The 2025 league tag championship will be hosted again at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
Leading sports travel company, Sportswell, confirmed following the success of the inaugural competition last weekend which was won by the Yasawa Saints.
In partnership with League Tag Fiji, Sportswell is proud to introduce the fast-growing sport of league tag to Fiji, aiming to develop and expand the sport across the Pacific region.
This year’s Girls League Tag Championships marks the first division of the League Tag Series to be hosted in the country.
Sportswell chief executive officer Trish Aisake applauded the sporting event and hopes to make it bigger next year with the addition of more divisions.
“It is wonderful to not only promote grassroots sports but also give opportunities for girls sports in Fiji.
“We’re thrilled to expand the event in 2025 and continue growing league tag across the region.”
Sportswell specialises in facilitating sporting exchanges between Australia and Fiji, fostering the development of Fijian players, teams, and clubs while offering visiting Australian teams the chance to experience Fiji’s unique culture and renowned hospitality on and off the field.
